Voie des Français – Aiguille du Pouce

Majectatic traverse under a giant roof.

When you think about climbing on Aiguilles Rouges, you imagine short approach from the chairlift, quality rock and pleasant climbing with not-too-far-spaced bolts. Better forget about it when visiting Aiguille du Pouce because you can get your ass kicked 😉

Voie des Francais is a massive climb on a remote face, with some oldschool grading. Even the last 4b-3b pitches are no joke due to rotten rock and lack of protection. The descent leads along a loose, exposed ridge so overall it’s a quite commiting adventure to remember.
