Avalanche Courses
I also offer comprehensive avalanche training that teach not only how to react in case of an avalanche accident, but – most importantly how to minimize its risk in the first place. The program include both theoretical and practical training:
- avalanche formation and snowpack structure
- understanding the EAWS avalanche bulletin
- route planning with avalanche risk in mind
- terrain assessment and risk mitigation
- decision making frame-works (Nivocheck, Avaluator, Munter)
- companion rescue procedures
- transciever, probe and shoveling practice
- first aid in avalanche accidents
